Our Services
The aim of our services is to increase the availability, efficiency and security of information systems of our customers. With our services, the data processing centers of our clients will reduce their costs and improve the quality of services, in addition to contributing to the sustainability of the environment. We work with our clients in a long-term relationship providing the critical information necessary for continuous improvement.
High Performance Computing
We are experts in HPC, and we have designed supercomputers and strategic plans for big customers. Our services portfolio includes:
-
Elaboration of strategic plans in supercomputing.
-
Design of HPC systems optimizing OPEX and minimizing CAPEX. Our designs minimize the TCO.
-
Design of DataCenters for HPC guaranteeing efficiency and availability at minimum cost.
-
RFP Support: If you want to purchase a supercomputer, we help you write the RFP that best suits your needs.
-
Audit and Benchmarking of supercomputers: we verify that the system meets the specifications.
-
Specialized training for system administrators, users, management, etc.
- ITIL for HPC: We help you use ITIL as a best practice framework for your HPC service.
The advice of PUE Control as independent experts in your supercomputing projects guarantees you an adequate return on investment.
At PUE Control we do not sell supercomputers or systems, which allows us to maintain independence. We know in depth the range of products of the main manufacturers and we work closely with them to guarantee the success of the projects.
DataCenter Maturity Model
We have developed metrics that relate efficiency to IT performance and availability. Therefore, these metrics are fundamental to sustainability and cost savings, but also to improve the availability and security of the datacenter and provide a better service at a lower cost.
- Power.
- Cooling.
- Other facilities.
- Management..
-
Servers & processing.
- Storage.
-
Networking.

Each of the eight previous chapters is analyzed in all the necessary aspects, receiving a score of 0 to 5 according to their maturity: from zero to maximum or visionary. Once the analysis is done, you are not having only a very accurate photo of the datacenter and its procedures and services as you also get the roadmap to establish the necessary improvements. Thanks to DCMM it is possible to evaluate the impact of the deficiencies found, both in economic terms as well as risk and quality of service.
As a result, the benefits that will be obtained in efficiency, sustainability and economics, which are the three fundamental axes of the DataCenter, will also be known in advance.
The PUE Control service includes: the initial DCMM analysis, the study and design of the improvement actions and their subsequent implementation.
- Initial DCMM Analysis.
-
The study of possible improvements to be undertaken and their impact, quantified in the three axes: efficiency, sustainability and economics (the economic axis include risk and quality of service).
-
Implementation of the roadmap of improvements and customer support to verify its operation and return on investment.
Innovative Metrics
It is not possible to improve what is not measured and it is not possible to measure what is not monitored. To improve the availability, efficiency and security of the datacenter, it is necessary to have the adequate metrics that provide the necessary information to design the improvement actions.
New challenges require new solutions. That is why we have participated in the committees that have defined the new DataCenter metrics:
-
Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
-
Performance Indicator (PI), including PUEr (PUE Ratio), Thermal Conformance (TC) and Thermal Resilience (TR).
-
Open Standard for DataCenter Availability (OSDA)
-
DataCenter Maturity Model (DCMM).
We have developed metrics that relate efficiency to IT performance and availability. Therefore, these metrics are fundamental to sustainability and cost savings, but also to improve the availability and security of the datacenter and provide a better service at a lower cost.
Best Practices
We help our clients in the adoption of internationally recognized management systems in their data center, covering all the standards that may affect them:
-
ISO 20001 IT service management.
-
ISO 27001 Information Systems Security Management.
-
ISO 50001 Energy Management.
-
ISO 50600 DataCenter Design..
-
ITIL v3: Information Systems Management.
Our approach is different, because our goal is not only to comply with the standard. Our goal is that the IT management systems and their infrastructures reach the maximum maturity to improve availability, efficiency and quality of service, minimizing costs..

DataCenter Management
Our integral management service focus on the three axes of the DataCenter: efficiency, sustainability and costs (financial axis), obtaining significant improvements in all three.
We start with an in depth DCMM analysis, and we use the results to design the improvement roadmaps, which are agreed with the customer, and the expected benefits in the three axes.
We review the procedures of infrastructure management and the provision of IT services, helping the client to introduce the necessary changes. We cover over time in a process of continuous improvement.
Our fees are indexed to the obtained results in the three axes (efficiency and availability improvements and cost reduction) using adequate metrics. For this reason, this service does not imply a higher cost to our customers, because our fees will be borne by the savings.
